tag, you're it!

We have tags for bookmarks and for pictures, but what about music? Maybe audioscrobbler should allow users to tag what they are listening to.

One of the things I like about del.icio.us is that readers add tags to bookmarks, not authors. It’s more useful to know how a group of readers tag a page than how a single author might tag a page. It’s too easy for an author to have a limited tag vocabulary at the time of writing. This is one of the main reasons why I don’t have categories for my blog posts.

I wish Flickr would allow other people to tag photos. (Ick, I’m spouting mis-information. Thanks for correcting me, Eric.)

Oh, and in case you’re not on the del.icio.us mailing list, Joshua is experimenting with bar graphs.

Oh, nifty, thanks for showing me that.
